Feels like a lifetime ago doesn’t it….

Like a parent I’m supposed to love all my books equally, and I do of course, but (whisper) Baby Twins to Bind Them might just be up there. My nephew was over from the UK at the time and as I typed my favourite two words “The End” he and my daughter were climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I may have had a glass of champagne :-) Dr Guy Steele breaks a few rules in the suitable hero stakes - I am not going to give any spoilers and tell you why - but I promise you he is a little different while being drop-everything-delicious! Without giving spoilers I shall tell you a little out-take - he has a very deep voice and when he addressed a confused patient with difficulty in hearing, such was his command (swoon) that my heroine, who had only just met him, startled. I wrote something like “Helen Keller would have heard him” but that was taken out. It still makes me laugh though! I can remember speaking to my editor at a conference just after I wrote it and admitting I missed him! While writing it I struggled at the dark moment - Guy deserved to be cross and so I made him be. My editor suggested that it just wasn’t Dr Steele ( the wonders of having a brilliant editor) and so I rewrote the confrontation and fell in love with Guy just a little bit more! He really is my perfect hero and I hope, if you read it, that  you fall in love with him too (and I still miss him and am still looking for him haha) <3 cxxx
