A Shameful Consequence
In October 2011, Homeland (my favourite show) premiered, St. Paul’s cathedral in London was closed to visitors for the first time since the Second World War due to the ‘Occupy London’ protests, a rare October snowstorm dubbed ‘Snowtober’ blasted the Northeastern United States and I released my book entitled ‘A Shameful Consequence’.
NOVEMBER!!!
Wow!
Let’s not talk about the election - let’s talk about sex haha
The book I have chosen to look back on is ‘A Shameful Consequence’ and it’s dark and delicious and romantic too.
Nico, Nico, Nico!
I saw the opening so vividly, a bride on her wedding day and Nico falling in lust (whisper, love…). The only problem was, he wasn’t the groom!
The bride is called Constantine.
Normally a male name, but that was her name as it came to me and I just couldn’t change it. Anyway, Nico wasn’t really thinking about her name when later that night he finds her devastated on the steps of the hotel, in her wedding dress having just found out she will forever remain a virgin!
Happily, Nico is more than willing to take care of that.
He’s beautiful, she’s beautiful and they have an utterly wonderful wedding night, even though it’s not his wedding.
I love the wedding night, it is incredibly romantic, even though it was just for one night…
Well, that was the plan!
The weather is warming up here and after a long lockdown I have just been out for lunch! It was the first time eating out in months and months. It was lovely, though it felt a little odd! A ham and cheese croissant never tasted so good, as I love to sit and watch the world go by and people watch and I have missed doing that. In lockdown I started feeding a family of magpies and they are now getting very bold! We also have some very pretty Crested Pigeons that make a funny whistling sound when they fly and they are very brave too and just sit there when I come out to feed the magpies.
I hope you are safe and well.
Happy reading Cxxxx
