The Nurse’s Reunion Wish
Happy New Year!
2021 is here and with it I hope some good times for all my wonderful readers.
It is summer here in Australia and though I’m enjoying the sun I am enviously looking at pictures of my sister’s snow as I am very much a winter person!
I hope you had a nice break over the festive period.
I had a lovely, quiet Christmas and managed to get the turkey and vegetables co-ordinated for once. We always have dessert in the evening at Christmas and I had 3 to choose from this year - all small. Two were vegan - a chocolate and cherry pudding + a ginger pudding with ginger sauce and then there was a dutiful (non vegan) Christmas pudding. I was secretly hoping that only my daughter would have the vegan choice and maybe a small pick from the boys- I had bought them and they looked and smelt fantastic - so that there would be loads of chocolate, cherry and ginger left for me. Instead, the boys dived into the chocolate and ginger ones too and I was the only one who had Christmas pudding as it was all that was left haha. Still, I shall uphold the Christmas pudding tradition but get bigger chocolate/cherry and ginger ones in future.
Lesson learnt!
Speaking of lessons - this month I’m going to talk about a more recent release ‘The Nurse’s Reunion Wish’ as it’s on sale in Australia and New Zealand until the end of January and I hope some of my readers can take advantage of that.
It’s a romantic second chance story and is set in both London’s Primary Hospital (my fictitious hospital world) and beautiful Sheffield. I cried when I wrote the ending ( a good sign) and then I cried again when I read the proofs! Dominic and Rachel were teenage lovers and they meet up again many years later. They are from different classes and different worlds and too young to make things work the first time around.
I loved giving them a second chance at love and the opportunity to learn from the past.
Hopefully 2021 is a time of new chances and wise choices and hopefully lots of love sprinkled in.
Love to all
